MARGUERITE NAKHLA: 1908-1977. Mareguerite Nakhla is a talented artist who never received the recognition she deserved in her lifetime, but nonetheless, she left a deep and characteristic artistic imprint through her work.
Although she belonged to the impressionist and expressionist era, she remained extremely unique for the way she dealt with her subjects. She showed deep human relationships as seen in the various paintings depicting human groupings like ‘The Turkish Bath’ and ‘The Stock Exchange House’. Both are considered to be the most famous of her works.
